Case could be more durable--can it be purchased separately?

By

from Raleigh, NC

Comments about Foster Grant Gavin Fold Flat:

Considering how many pairs of readers I've crushed in my pockets, perhaps I'm asking too much of this case. I really like the slim design, and I'm buying another pair today.

Love these but...

Comments about Foster Grant Gavin Fold Flat:

I bought a pair of these glasses last year while at JFK and have had no problems with them except for almost losing them quite a few times. I really like them and was planning to purchase a couple more just in case i misplace the one i have. But... after reading the reviews of quality problems with the nose piece, I'm concerned about investing in a few more of these. Can anyone respond?

bought several pairs, all are now missing left nose piece

By

from WPB, FL

Comments about Foster Grant Gavin Fold Flat:

Really liked the slim storage case and long ear piece. Many other pairs bend the ear piece too soon for my head.
Unfortunately, after casual use, all are now missing the left nose piece, and the glasses aren't comfortable with the exposed metal tab.
If I could find a replacement, they'd be fine...dang. Need to find something else now as all of these are bad.

I will buy these again.

By

Comments about Foster Grant Gavin Fold Flat:

I really like the fold up glasses and case. But one of the nose pieces has broken off. I found it and glued it back on. I'd like to get replacement nose pieces. How and where can I get these?

I like the fold flat design and the hard case but one of the nose pieces fell off after two months of occasional use.

Good concept, poorly made!

By

Comments about Foster Grant Gavin Fold Flat:

On third pair of these. Luckily store I bought at replaced. Nose piece kept falling off. I finally just ground down both sides and made work. Now spring in glasses broke. Not worth price. Cheaper models last a lot longer.

I like them

By

from Victoria Texas

Comments about Foster Grant Gavin Fold Flat:

I like these glasses, but I have had a problems. What I have had are the hinge pins keep falling out, which I corrected by putting a drop of instant glue in the ends. The other problem I have had the sleeve that covers the end of the ear piece fell off and I had to wrap it with electrical tape so I did not stick myself in the eye.

Gavin Fold Flat

By

from Conway SC

Comments about Foster Grant Gavin Fold Flat:

I bought these for my boyfriend. He loved them BUT within 4 days the left ear piece didn't stay in place. They were taken out of the case new and used only at his computer. They hadn't been folded or put back in the case. Unfortunately, I didn't keep my receipt or I would have taken a refund. Instead, I took an exchange for another pair. I'll let you know how this works out.
