Description

This stylish yet sophisticated pair of Foster Grant reading glasses uses a Multi Focus lens that allows you to read, work on your computer, and interact with others all in one. This women’s full frame comes in a black cat eye with the bottom of the frame perfect for reading as the lens holds the normal strength needed. Meanwhile the middle of the frame holds a slightly less than normal strength for short distances and the top of the lens is half the normal strength in order to socialize with others. The Zera is a frame that can do it all!

I have used prescription trifocals for many years and each pair cost me $400-$600. I recently got an updated prescription and had glasses made, but they were all wrong, I couldn't see. Then I got them re-made and they were still all wrong, so I was told to go back to the eye doctor and get the prescription corrected. During all that waiting, I saw Foster Grant Multi Focus at the drugstore and tried them. They worked perfectly for a fraction of the price. I decided not to go back to the eye doctor for a new prescription. I have ordered different styles of FC Multi Focus online and love them all.

I really like the Zera. A friend gave me my first pair after she thought the style / color suited me better than her, wore them a couple of weeks and the frame broke. So I ordered another pair, used them a few months and the frame broke on those also. And I'm not rough with them at all, in fact, I only where them at work. I'm disappointed because I really like the multifocus! Undecided if I'll attempt another pair or not!

Like the multifocal, but otherwise a waste of money.

Comfortable to wear and clear vision

By

from Ohio

Comments about Foster Grant Zera:

I purchased these when my vision went from very strong nearsightedness with astigmatism to near 20/20 with very slight astigmatism after having cataract surgery. The glasses look good, are lightweight and very comfortable to wear. I ended up purchasing 3 pair of these, to have backup pairs just in case of loss or breakage.
The first pair I bought only lasted a few months, and the frame broke around one of the lenses. I have now been wearing the second pair for several months, but am disappointed to see that the black coloring on the front of the glasses is peeling away. I actually would rather they were just left the original purple, but the peeling/chipping black is unappealing, pardon the pun. That's the only reason for the 4 star rating. Glad I have another pair in waiting! :)

Comments about Foster Grant Zera:

I love these glasses. I had lasik surgery but almost immediately needed reading glasses. I work 12 hours a day in front of a computer and these work great for reading, computer work. My eye doctor was astonished that there were multi-focal readers on the market.

LIfe saver...

By

Comments about Foster Grant Zera:

I had cataract surgery about 4 years ago. I used to be terribly near sighted with a lot of astigmatism. Now I can see fine at distance and use FG multifocus Sera for reading/bottom, computer/top. Unbelievable how they solve my near vision. Well made an d reasonable. I buy the +2.75 so I'm on the top end of the 'X' scale. I hope they continue to produce these wonderful eyeglasses.

Zera

Comments about Foster Grant Zera:

Excellent to see, but the frames need work. I have had the left arm break off on two pairs. Flex temples would be great.

Great for TV!

Comments about Foster Grant Zera:

Handier than having my regular prescription available in two places, I can easily grab these for switching from my computer to watching TV. I still can't seem to use these for both, as they don't work that well for close-up for me. It was my first try, so maybe I need to adjust how I judged how to buy these. Still, a decent product! One thing I'd add, cleaning these well is not that easy - they seem to stay smudged. Suggestions?

Comments about Foster Grant Zera:

These glasses are great for the office. I actually have two pairs. One for office and one for home.
I wish foster grant would come out with some classier frames for women.
